Miss Reading

Please don't misquote me. What I wanna say is, I miss my reading.. after the sorting, packaging and anything involving our migration, i realized how much I miss my books.

I'd been keeping my dear REGGIE GIRL's "Playing For Pizza" by John Grisham and never turned the page yet... I'll gonna save that prior to our supposed 17-hour flight hopefully end of this month.. No book on hand right now, all were packed and ready to go so I'd better stay cool and take my enjoyment elsewhere.. or better yet, have a dose of one of my favourites: THE READER'S DIGEST..

I'd been a subscriber of this wonderful mini magazine for many years till I stopped. Such a mini yet powerfully packed with all the wholesome information and laughs that would make your day full of fun.

Don't you love this too?

-------------------------------------------

Dearest Mervat,
Whoa.. I thought scientist only read science journals.. hehehe.. It's really nice to know that you liked Readers Digest too. Happy reading my friend and have a good laugh too. Maybe you should publish some of your amusing anecdotes in RD? You have a lot to share.

-----------------------------

Dearest Thoughtskoto,
Since I blog I only say what comes within my heart. I love following and reading the blogs of good people like you. There are actually a lot of good people here and I am really thankful. We're all lucky to have found this blog site.

--------------------------------

Dear Joanie,
Oh yeah but i was kind of dissappointed when they replaced some of their old articles like Humor in Uniform and some of my favourites. But the same thing, RD is still the best for me. Oh, you must read John Grisham, he's good.

--------------------------

Dearest Sardonyx,
Yeah blogging is more wholesome these days. If you want to travel to Japan, just come to your site and viola! Germany try Debby of Pink Birdhouse, Crisfield try Patty, Newman there's Reggie and many more.. Just a click and the humor and info are there..
Thanks missy, hope to see you in ontario during one of your travels. ingat ka rin always..
Care, Ate Loida

This took me back a few years! I haven't read Reader's Digest for a long, long time now but certainly used to enjoy it back then... you'll need a good book or two for that flight Loida - and maybe some crossword puzzles or cross stitch to pass the time! Hugs to you, Vxx

Hi Loida, i know how much you must miss your reading. When we are busy and overwhelmed with work, we miss the small moments in our days, the ones that give us such joy, be it with reading, or hand crafts, or walking the dog. But the Reader's Digest is a great idea. I have loved that magazine for years now too! Take a moment every day to sit and enjoy reading, it will keep you emotionally strong for what lies ahead of you!! :-) thinking of you way over here, Debby

Hi there Loida (and the troops), the wee story tells the tale of my parent's wedding day (they would've been married for 40 years today, the 7th of April) and I was a honeymoon baby...My father died in 2006 and all my grandparents are long dead as is my father's brother Colin. So it's a remembrance of that day and a tribut to these lost to us. My mother is very much alive, Thank God and this is really for her. Thanks again for your comments and questions,
Blessings to you and yours,
Sean AKA Psychonaut

Dearest Sean,
Hi my friend.. Greetings to your mom and congrats. She sure is lucky, I'm sure your dad is happy up there. Nice of you to feature your parent's wedding anniversary in your site.. You're such a good son.

Hope you don't mind me using normal english. Not as 'far out' as yours. :) Take care my friend and have a happy celebration.

Aye, being a Scots/Irish hybrid, particularly coming from the town of Paisley, my "English" is wrought with ages-old Gaelic tongue and urban scots, which is a language of the heart and the stomach (ie gutsy) we're a hardy breed us Gaels! Thank you for your kind words,
Blessings,
Sean

Dear Sean (Psychonaut),

Thanks my friend. Now I understand and truly believed now that you're for real, not a full tripper. A poet and highly good.

Have a nice day. Take care always.

Dearest T-Lo,
Ohhh so good to see you.. I used to lose myself with the legal thrillers and sci-fi. And yes, love story somehow makes me fall in love over and over again and even cry too. hehehe.. Have a nice day and have a safe trip back to your homeland.

-------------------------------------------

Dearest Melissa,
Thanks my friend. You always amaze me with the way you choose your furnitures and how you design your lovely home. You have such an exquisite and sophisticated taste. I would love to cuddle in your newly created reading corner alone with Danielle Steel.

Have a lovely day my friend. And happy reading too.

I TOTALLY miss you as well dear lady. How's the moving going?
I see that you are participating in Friday Shoot-Out's no? I think that you're next to pick a subject. Do you have time with all your pack, pack, packing to do it??? I'm pretty sure it's your turn to pick next. Patty can correct me if I'm wrong, but I know that you started pretty early on. Besides, I just want to see your beautiful picture's of your beautiful town (whichever one that is at the time, lol).
Love to yo, hot hubby and georgeus kiddos :)

Girl..you must be reading my mind!!!! Get ready for this coincidence.....my cousin and I were just talking in the car yesterday about how we wish someone would choose something about local food and resturants and then you said this!! I'm overboard excited that you've chosen this subject.
Okay "My Hometown Native Foods and Resturants". Awesome Loida.....this should be really interesting. Everyone loves food and seeing how other people's local fare is is going to be wonderful.
You're just the bestest......of course I already knew that :)
Love to you dear lady and hot hubby and gorgeous kiddos. Let's all thry to post next week's subject on tomorrow's shoot-out!!!
