It's my late mother's birthday today. I am missing her so much. I wish I could hug and kiss her, show her all my love that is overflowing right now.. I wish I could buy her all her favourite things and provide her with all the comfort that she might need.. She's supposed to be enjoying her 79th birthday today if Alzheimer's disease did not took her away from us..

My dearest mother passed away last February 2000. She's far from perfect but I would never ever wish for anyone else. We might have had an unconventional family life when I was a kid but for me she'll always be the best and the most wonderful mother in this whole wide world..!

My heart went out to you as I read your post. My mother in law past away 4 yrs ago also suffering from Alzheimers, she would have been 90 last October. She went from an outgoing and spirited woman to a silent, staring ghost. We do indeed lose them twice. The saddest thing is that she always remembered me but not my husband..her son.
